CANDLE CARE

When lighting your candle for the first time, we recommend these few tips! These tips will allow your candle to have the best burn possible, and to ensure your candle lasts a long time!

one.

When burning your candle, be sure to burn it until the melt pool reaches all sides of the jar. This will take between 2 and 5 hours, depending on the size of your candle. This sets the melt pool to ensure your candle does not tunnel, and burns beautifully every time you light it!

two.

Never blow out your candle! Always snuff it out. When you’re finished burning your candle, place the lid on top. This will snuff out the flame which stops any soot from going into your candle.

three.

When you light your candle each time, remove the “bud” that may have formed on top of the wick. Gently tip it over into the sink or trash can and lightly remove the bud with your fingers. Trim the wick to 1/4” inch each time you light your candle. Make sure it isn’t any shorter than that as this may cause the wick to “drown” in the wax. You can use wick trimmers or nail clippers if you do not have a wick trimmer.

four.

For safety reasons, never burn your candle for more than 6 hours at a time. It may cause your candle to get too hot and possibly become a fire hazard. Never leave your candles unattended and always keep away from pets and children.
